Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and experienced shop, maintenance, and fleet manager to oversee the maintenance and operational readiness of our equipment and vehicle fleet. This is a hands-on managerial role, requiring active participation in maintenance tasks while leading a team of technicians.

The ideal candidate will ensure that all equipment and vehicles are maintained to the highest standards, minimizing downtime, and supporting our field operations effectively. Additionally, this role involves maintaining an organized and efficient shop environment to facilitate seamless maintenance operations.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and perform maintenance, repair, and servicing of all company equipment and vehicles, including concrete cutting tools, coring machines, trucks, and support vehicles.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment and vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and execute timely repairs to minimize operational disruptions.
• Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies, ensuring availability for routine maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Collaborate with operations and project managers to coordinate equipment availability for upcoming projects.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Train and mentor maintenance staff, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure the shop area is organized, safe, and compliant with workplace regulations, facilitating efficient maintenance operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in equipment maintenance and fleet management, preferably within the construction or concrete-cutting industry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.
• Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team of technicians.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, to address urgent maintenance needs.
